1.India Going to Highlight climate impact on Himalayas at CoP 22.
India is planning to host a side event during United Nations climate Change conference at Marakech, Morocco about the climate change impact on Himalayas.
Reason:
Himalayas provides water to 1.3 billion People and it has not been represented for last three decades in climate change discussions, even though it is warming faster than the global average.
About CoP22:
It is yearly conference about the United Nations Framework convention on Climate Change which is held in Marakesh, Morocco.
2. Mission Raftaar Project
Indian government launched the high speed Gatimaan Express between Delhi and Agra which will reach the top speed of 160 Km.
About Raftaar Project:
Indian Railways has planned to increase the train speed to 160 kmph on total 9000 km in trunk routes in the country. This will help to reduce the Journey time of the passenger.
3. Indian Army completes irrigation pipeline project in Demchok, Ladakh.
Indian Army has completed laying the irrigation pipeline in Demchok of eastern Ladakh. The irrigation project which was opposed by china which is underway in the Demchok Region.
Demchok region is located 250 km east of Ladakh, the project links a village with "Hot Spring" which is undertaken by Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Acts .
4. Andy Murray won Paris Masters Title.
Andy Murray won his first Paris Masters Title in men's Tennis Tournament beating John Isner by 6-3,6-7, 6-4 in Final.
He also moved to his career best No 1 Spot in Ranking.
5. Zou Shimming Won WBO flyweight Title.
Zou Shimming the 2 times Olympic medalist won first World Boxing Organisation's Pro title beating Kwanpichhit Onesongchaigy at Las Vegas.
