1.IAF gets ‘Netra’, an
indigenous Airborne Early Warning and Control System
Indian Air force has formally inducted an indigenous
Airborne Early Warning and Control System ‘Netra’ Developed by the Defence
Research and Development Organisation at the on-going ‘Aero India 2017’
India has now entered in Elite club of joining along
with US, Israel an Russia which has already developed the technology.
This systems is capable of long range surveillance,can
track area within 240 degrees of its sides at any given point of time. The system
was fitted on three smaller oBrazilian Embraer-145 jet
y DRDO.
2.ISRO Successfully launched 104
satellites in single mission
Indian Space Research Organisation
(ISRO) has launched 104 satellite successfully in a single mission form Satish
Dhawan Space
centre, Sriharikota.
India has set a world record
for launching more satellites in one go beating Russia's launch of 39
satellites in single mission in June 2014
The rocket PSLV C37 has
launched from Satish dhawan space centre in Sriharikota, Andhrapradesh.
The rocket carried 3 Indian
and others foreign satellites including 96 belongs to US, Israel Kazakhstan,
Netherlands, Switzerland as part of an outsoucing Tie up between these
countries.
Cartosat-2 Series satellite
injected first into orbit followed by other 103 nano satellites in a gap of 30
mins.The most of the foreign Satellites is for commercial purpose and the while
the Indian satellites were intended to observe and measure the Earth's
atmosphere
Kiran Kumar ISRO’s Chairman
said that “all satellite successfully placed on Orbit and congratulated the
entire ISRO team for the wonderful job”.
