Indian Navy Inducts underwater harbor defence and surveillance system.
Indian Navy has launched
an integrated underwater harbour defence and surveillance system (IUHDSS) to
enhance the Navy’s surveillance capability and response to security threat in
Mumbai.
Vice admiral Girish Luthra, flag officer Commanding-In-Chief, Western Naval Command
inaugurated the two systems.
The Integrated
Underwater Harbor Defence and Surveillance system is a multi-sensor system
with integrated radars, electro optic cameras and sonars which is capable of
identifying, detecting, tracking, generating warnings for all type of
underwater threats to harbour.
