Indian army is all set to carry out a fresh user trial of 3,000 kilometre range Agni-III ballistic missile from Abdul Kalam Island off Odisha coast .
Indian army is all set to carry out a fresh user trial of 3,000 kilometre range Agni-III ballistic missile from Abdul Kalam Island off Odisha coast .
Indian Army's Strategic Forces command carried out the test from launch
pad No. 4 of the Integrated Test Range in Abdul Kalam Island with
logistics support from DRDO.
The test was aimed at re-establishing the operational effectiveness of
the weapon system of Indian Army
About Agni III:
Agni III is cabale of carrying upto 1.5 tonnes of both conventional and
nuclear warheads. It was nducted in the armed forces in June, 2011.
Agni III is a rail mobile capable system which canan be launched from
various platforms giving the country intermediate range ballistic missile
firepower and greatly extending its power projection in the region.
