1.The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) begins Third phase of excavation at Keezhadi.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has begins third phase of excavation at Keezhadi in Sivaganga district. AIS said that this settlement would be more than 2500 years and it is largest discovery after Harappa civilization.

2.India Announced $500M aid to Mauritius.

India has announced $500 M  line of credit for Mauritius and also signed an agreement for maritime security cooperation.to Mauritius. It  was signed in presence of visiting Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.



3.Madras and Madurai University gets new vice chancellor.

Governor of Tamil Nadu C.Vidyasagar Rao has appointed Professor P Duraisamy, as Vice chancellor of University of Madras and Professor PP Chelladurai, has been appointed as vice-chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University.

4.Stolen 1,000-year-old ‘Narasimmee’ stone idle comes back to Tamil Nadu from Australia.


1000 year old stolen Narasimee stone idol comes back to Tamil Nadu From Australia. The Idol is from the Vriddhagiriswarar temple in Vriddhachalam, Tamil Nadu.
