1.ISRO’s PSLV-C38 Successfully Launches 31 Satellites in a Single Flight.
Indian Space Research Organisation has successfully launched the 712 kg Cartosat-2 series satellite along with 30 satellites. These satellites were launched by PSLV-C38 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota. It was 39th consecutively successful mission of PSLV.
PSLV –C38 carried one of the 30 co-passenger was the 15 kg NIUSAT, a University/Academic Institute satellite from Nurul Islam University, Tamil Nadu, India. The remaining 29 co-passenger satellites from USA -10, United Kingdom -3 , Belgium -3, Italy-3, and one each from Austria ,Chile, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia
2.Government launches VAJRA Scheme to attract NRI Scientists
Department of Science and Technology has launched a scheme named “Visiting Advanced Joint Research Faculty” VAJRA” to bring together the Indian Scientists abroad and India based researchers for conducting joint researches in India.
3.NASA launches World’s Lightest Satellite designed by Indian Student from Tamil Nadu.
NASA has launched the world's smallest satellite, which is designed by 18-year old Tamil Nadu student Rifath Sharook and his team which is named as Kalamsat, after former President APJ Abdul Kalam, the tiny satellite weighs around 64 grams.
