July 29

India  is Going to Ratify 2 International Labour Organisation (ILO) convention 182 and 138 against Child Labour.

Government of India Already Passed the Child labour Prohibition and Regulation Amendment Bill 2016 which prohibits employment of children up to 14 years. From here India can Ratify ILO convention because we banned all form of Child labour.

ILO Convention 182 says, need for formulate legislation for prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child Labour.

ILO Convention 138 says, the minimum age for employment should not be less than completing schooling which means 14 yrs of age in India.

1. Bezwada Wilson  has awarded Ramon Magsaysay award for his outstanding social work to eradicate manual scavenging through organisation Safai Karmachari Andolan.

T.M Krishna has also awarded Ramon Magsaysay award for music to taking Carnatic music to the masses.
  
Ramon Magsaysay award is an annual award to perpetuate former Philippines president Ramon Magsaysay, which is estabished on 1957 for courageous service to the people, and pragmatic idealism within a democratic society by the trustee of Rockfeller brothers fund based on US.

1. India And US joint expedition discovers natural gas in Indian Ocean

India's Oil ministry and US Geological survey made the discovery of large accumulation of natural gas hydrate in icy form at Bay of Bengal. It is the most comprehensive Gas hydrate field venture in the world, till date.

1. Sri Lanka is to be put up 16 Thiruvalluvar Statue. Thiruvalluvar is the epic author of Thirukural now goes to Srilanka. Srilanka has waived the import duty for bringing the Statues from India.

 2. Solar Impulse 2 is the first solar plane to circle around the world using solar energy from Sun, which set to complete its trip travelling 42000 km.

SI-2  is not heavier than car and it’s the only experimental aircraft which allowed to fly over cities. It has 17,000 solar cells embedded in its wings

1. A Kanyakumari an violinist will get the Sangita Kalanidhi award this year 2016. A native of vijayanagaram of Andhra Pradesh Ms kanyakumari is first woman violinist to receive Sangita Kalanidhi Award

1.The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is ready to experiment Air-Breaking propulsion Technology.

RH -560 christened Advanced Technology Vehicle (ATV) is the heaviest sounding rocket built by the ISRO. “The Ignition of the scram jet engine in flight and holing the flame steadily for five second”- when the air from the atmosphere is being rammed into the engine through an inlet at a supersonic speed of six Mach is the objective of the experiment.

Air Breaking Propulsion technology use the atmospheric oxygen and burn it with the stored on –board fuel for producing the forward thrust in contrast to the conventional chemical rocket systems which carry both the oxygen and the fuel onboard, which result this system become much lighter and more efficient leading to reduced overall cost.



2.  Neeraj Chopra Indian Javelin thrower broke the Junior world record to clinch first Gold medal in IAAF world under-20 athletics championship. His 86.48m effort broke the previous record of 84.69m by Lativia’s Zigismunds Sirmais.

1.Andhra Pradesh has to become the Nuclear Power hub in India. Russia and USA planned to set Six Nuclear power centers in AP.

Tamil Nadu Avvaiyar award has given to Sarada Menon , the founder of SCARF (Schizophrenia Care and Research Foundation) for her work in the area of Mental Health and Rehabilitation.

Avvaiyar award is given to women by Tamil Nadu Government for the remarkable work in empowerment, science, arts and culture , administration and media.

Archaeologists discovered the 9th century Jain Temple at Idaiyamadam in SP Pattinam near Thondi Ramanathapuram (Tamil Nadu).

This Jain Temple has the Sculptures and stone image of 'Parshavanath'


July 18

Three Sites in India recognized as world Heritage site by World Heritage Committee of UNESCO.

1. Khangchezonga National Park in Sikkim
2. Nalanda Mahavihara (Nalanda University) in Bihar.
3.Capitol complex in Chandigarh.

Khangchezonga National Park is the first mixed heritage site in India, which means it exhibits the qualities of both Natural and cultural significance.

Capitol Complex which includes Chandigarh's Legislative assembly, Secretariat and High Court was designed by French Architect Le Corbusier.

This is the first time that any country got named three sites in a single session of World Heritage Committee meeting, was held at Istanbul in Turkey.

Tamil Nadu State Government switch over to new Crop Insurance Scheme - Pradan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana..

Pradan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, make Farmers to pay percent premium of the actuarial rate during the Karif season (bet April to Septemer) and 1.5 Per premium for Rabi Season( Oct to March). Then the State Government and Central Government Equally share the remaining Premium.

It helps Farmers to get better compensation.

July 14

1. Theresa May has become 2nd women Prime minister of Britain after David Cameron step down after its vote to leave the European Union (EU).

2. Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) has dismissed China for claiming historic rights to resource falling within the Nine-dash line.

The Case was brought by Philippines in 2013 to the PCA.

China is also ratified the UNCLOS (United Nation convention on the Laws of the Sea) in 1996.

PCA (Permanent Court of Arbitration) is at The Hague, the Netherlands

UNCLOS Located at Montego Bay, Jamaica.

1. Government approved India’s 13th major port at Enayam, near Colachel in Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu).This port will act as a major gateway container port for cargo and trans-shipment hub for East-West trade rout.

2. Shipping Corporation India to resume Sailing to Iran after 4 year gap for transporting an Oil Cargo for a state run refiner . SCI has stopped sailing due to International sanctions targeting Iran’s nuclear programme which leads the company to obtaining Insurance cover for Oil and other shipments.

3. Government has approved interest of 7 Per cent for the short term loan to Farmers for one year amount up to 3 lakhs.

1. India’s First Insurance policy covering an Atomic Power plant operator has been issued to Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL).

2. Central Government Decided to celebrate Guru Govind Singh’s 350th anniversary across the world where Indian’s reside.

Guru Govind Singh is tenth and last Sikh Guru who born on Dec 26 1666


July 3

1. India has revived its old proposal for adoption of the Comprehensive Convention on international Terrorism (CCIT) at the UN General Assembly in this year.
India has proposed CCIT in 1996; it is still pending in UN General Assembly to adopt. CCIT is mainly against Terrorism funding countries.

2. Central Government has decided to cut prices of key fertilizers including Diammonium Phosphate (DAP), Muriate of Potash (MOP), Nitrogen Phosphate and Potash Composition (NPK).


3.Maharashtra claimed the overall champion at Glenmark 33rd Junior National Aquatic Meet.



July 2

1. India Successfully test fired the New Medium Range Surface to Air missile(MRSAM) developed jointly with Israel from defence base off Odisha coast.

The missile has strike range of 70 km.

2. Light Combat Aircraft 'Tejas' designed and built in India, joined Indian Air force. The current Indian Air force fighters are french origin Mirrage-2000s and Russian Sukoi-30s. Tejas is the first advance fly by wire fighter Aircraft completely developed, designed and manufactured in India.

Two Tejas Light Combat Aircraft has been formally inducted in Indian Air force, which will be part of new Squadron 45 ‘Flying Daggers’

Government clears 23.5% pay hike for Central Government Employees as per Seventh pay commission.


Government also formed four committees to look out the concerns raised by employees.

India Joined Missile Technology Control Regime(MTCR)

What is MTCR??

MTCR helps in  preventing ballistic missiles and unmanned drones  falling into rogue Hands..

This entry helps India to sell their Missiles legally to other countries.

Vietnam already needs 300 km range BrahMos missile. So under MTRC India can legally provide such missiles to Vietnam

ISRO And NASA Joined together to develop Data Satellite

  • ISRO and NASA joined together to develop a radar satellite to measure and observe ecosystem disturbances , ice-sheet collapses and natural hazard.
  • Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune and US National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration is also working for seasonal and long-term climate forecasts to prepare for the monsoons.

  •      ISRO Created yet another history by launching 20 satellite in a single mission
  • ·        It launched primary Cartosat-2 series satellite, 2 From Indian University, 17 from foreign University by PSLV C-34 rocket launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center.
  • ·         Sathybamasat the satellite of Sathyabama University Chennai, Swayam Satellite of College of Engineering Pune, BIROS Germany, M3Mat Canada, LAPAN-A3 Indonesia, SkySat Gen2-1 USA, GHSat-D Canada and 12 Dove Satellites USA are the list of satellites launched.
  • ·         Russian Dnepr rocket Launched a record 37 satellite in a single mission in 2014
       2.  Shanghai Cooperation Organisation

  • SCO summit is started June 23-24 at Tashkent, India will attend the summit as "Acceding Member" but will speak fromt he category of "Observer"
