1The HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Control)
Bill, 2017 passed in Parliament
Parliament has passed the HIV
and AIDS (prevention and control) Bill 2014, to ensure equal rights to person
affected by HIV and AIDS in getting treatment, admission in educational
institutions and jobs..
Union health minister JP Nadda
said that Indian Government will take care of the treatment for the
person having HIV and AIDS.
India has almost 21 lakh
people living with HIV/AIDS, the third highest after South Africa and
Nigeria.
2.Union Government to launch SAMPADA scheme
for food processing
Union
Government going to launch Scheme for
Agro-Marine Produce Processing and Development of Agro-Processing Clusters
(SAMPADA) for Food Processing. It was said by Food
Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal .
The Scheme aimed to combine both current
and new schemes in reducing food wastage
and double the income of farmers by 2022.
