1.Tamil Nadu Government allotted 1500 crore for deep sea fishing Project.

Tamil Nadu government has allotted Rs 1500 Crore for the deep-sea fishing project which aims to end the bottom trawling by Indian Fisherman.

The project will replace the trawlers with 2000 deep-sea fishing boats with long lines and gill nets in 3 years. The production of deep-sea fishing boats takes 9 months but as per project , it planned to compress the period into 6 months.

2.Sanjay Mishra to be new defence secretary of India.

Government of India has appointed the Sanjay Mishra as new Defence Secretary of the county. He is a 1982 West Bengal cadre officer.



3.Moon Jae-in new South Korea president

Moon Jae-in is selected as new South Korea’s President to replace ousted President Park Geun-hye, who was impeached in December.

4.29th India- Indonesia Co-Ordinated Patrol (Corpat) Commences 


The 29th series of India–Indonesia CORPAT is scheduled from 09 – 25 May 17 commenced at Port Blair under the aegis of Andaman and Nicobar Command. The Indonesian Naval Ship KRI Sutedi Senoputra has arrived at Haddo Wharf, Port Blair to mark the commencement of the 29th series of IND–INDO CORPAT
