1.'Anuyatra' campaign launched by Government of Kerala
Kerala Government has launched campaign Anuyatra for the person with
special needs and to make state disabled-friendly. It was launched by
Vice-President Hamid Ansari.
About Anuyatra:
- It is an innovative campaign aimed at transforming the state to a disabled-friendly.
- It will empower differently abled children by bringing them to the forefront of society.
- It was implemented in collaboration with the Magic Academy and it is managed by Kerala Social Security Mission (KSSM).
- The academy will give free magic training which will create confidence and self-esteem among the children, under the special programme titled M-Power.
2.Bird life international recognised 3 new sites
as biodiversity hotspots in Goa.
BirdLife
International has recognised 3 new sites as biodiversity hotspots in Goa. It is
a conservation organisation which has added 3 sites to their list of Important
Bird and biodiversity Areas”.
The
3 sites which added are Bondla Wildlife
Sanctuary, Navelim Wetlands and Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary.
Goa has now seven recognised biodiversity including
the three new sites.
The other four sites are Bhagwan Mahavir
Wildlife Sanctuary and Mollem National Park, Carambolim Wetlands, Cotigao
Wildlife Sanctuary and Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary.
