1.The
Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) Nag flight tested successfully.
The Defence Research and development
organisation has successfully test-fired the Anti-Tank Guided Missile Nag in
the desert ranges of Rajasthan and the missile successfully destroyed the
target
About ATGM:
- It is a fire and forget 3rd generation missile which has advanced technologies including the Imaging Infrared Radar (IIR) Seeker with integrated avionics.
- It is developed by DRDO under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP).
- It can be launched from both land and air-based platforms with a range of at least 4,000 m.
2.India
and Australia bilateral maritime exercise AUSINDEX-17
Navies
of India, Australia will
participate in second edition of bilateral maritime exercise “AUSINDEX-17”, to
be held from June 13 to 17 in Freemantle, Australia.
The first edition of AUSINDEX was held at Visakhapatnam
in 2015.
About AUSINDEX:
AUSINDEX is a bilateral maritime exercise started
in 2015 with the aim to enhancing interoperability and cooperation between both
navies.
Eastern
Fleet ships INS Jyoti, Shivalik and Kamorta will participate in AUSINDEX-17.
